The latest news in the digital media which is about the Apple Mac is the news about Microsoft planning MS Office for Mac OS X Lion. According to the information available the latest MS office version will be rolled out by 2012. The new version will be running on the most anticipated Apple iPad3.
It seems like Microsoft has found this as the perfect time for the launch, as Apple is to roll out the new iPad 3 by the mid of coming year. So, Microsoft will be launching the new application with iPad 3. According to the statistics available at this point of time, Apple iPad has an overall market capacity of 80 % in the tablet segment which is obviously a big market. Therefore the strategic approach of Microsoft is really appreciable as they could get a vast customer base by launching the latest MS office with iOS.
The joint collaboration of both the companies, Microsoft and Apple has generated up to $ 15 billion revenue approximately which is a huge achievement and thus it is obvious that the new launch will also touch unexpected heights in sales. According to the information available it is expected that Microsoft will roll out another updated version of Office in the near future. The latest one will be for Mac OS X Lion. It is also expected that the latest updated software for the company will be made available for the users through Mac Appstore. Moreover the upcoming version will feature Office 365 integration. The integration will help the users to be benefited with a platform which supports desktop office formats. This will help many users to have more flexible and easy methods for conducting various documentation and other official work requirements.
Well, more information on the price of the tools and applications are not available at this point of time but according to some sources it is expected that MS office apps will be coming with a price of around $10.
But the most surprising part is that, Microsoft is still silent on this news. The official has denied responding on this matter and has not given any word till date. The only matter which is not understandable is the silence maintained by Microsoft officials on this particular issue. However if the news comes true then it is obvious that it will leverage the offerings from iWork for Mac.
